Communications Committee

The purpose of the Communications Committee is to develop and implement methods that provide information about the organization. To increase the visibility in Central Ohio, the Communications Committee provides updates via the website, social media, and a quarterly newsletter.

Community Service Committee

The Community Service Committee facilitates and designs activities designed to promote and encourage APABA-CO members to provide legal services to those in need and partnering with other organizations/associations to address issues related to the APA public interest community and Central Ohio community at large. The Committee also assists the APABA-CO Board in making recommendations, strategizing, and acting on issues that affect the civil and legal rights of the Asian American community. If you would like to learn more about getting involved in this Committee, contact the Committee Chair Bonnie Wolf at wolfb4@nationwide.com.

Gala Committee

Every fall, APABA-CO hosts its annual gala, which also serves as the primary fundraising event of the year. This event brings together close to 200 guests, most of whom are attorneys in the Central Ohio legal community. Law students from both The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and Capital University are also invited to attend. The evening begins with a cocktail hour and dinner, followed by an exhibition of Asian art and culture, and ending with the keynote speaker(s). APABA-CO has been fortunate to have wonderful speakers attend this event in the past, including, most recently, Ivan Fong (General Counsel for 3M) and Simone Wu (General Counsel for Choice Hotels International).

If you or your organization is interested in sponsoring the gala, please contact Sophia Chang at schang@cco.state.oh.us.
